ABOUT
ZOE THOMAS | PHOTOGRAPHER | STORYTELLER
First of all, a big warm hello! I'm so happy you're here.
As with all new friends, I believe there is nothing better than sitting down with a cuppa to spark the first of many conversations to come.
I am an Townsville, QLD based photographer who loves pilates, a good book and a cup of tea – occasionally a gin. A farm kid, I grew up on a mixed cropping property in Zimbabwe, Africa. Since moving to Australia, I have been lucky enough to explore a wide patch of regional country; from Mareeba in the Far North, to Forbes in the Central West of New South Wales.
A writer by trade, I have been fortunate enough to work throughout Queensland sharing stories of the local regions. From the Central West to the Southern Downs and Granite Belt districts. I am currently based in Townsville, North Queensland. A huge proponent for our rural communities, I will always be in awe of the resilience and adaptability of those on the land.
On my first day as a cadet journalist, a camera was placed in my hands and I haven't looked back since. I now find absolute joy in documenting country life and those who call these regions home. I would be thrilled to tell your story.
I'd describe my style as warm, simplistic, and most importantly, real.
If you think I may be the right fit for your photography needs, I'd love for you to get in touch!
